In our Democratic society we support the idea of majority rule, but we maintain the need for minority rights. This idea is "encompassed" by nearly all parts of our government accept one. The Jurisprudence system, more specifically, the jury selection process. We need to make it mandatory that both the jury pool for a case, and the actual jury that sits for and decides the verdict be proportionally representative of all minorities of a population. That way, not only would every race be more equally represented by the system, but we would ensure a more accurate peer based trial. It would also limit discrimination in the selection process of members. I have good reasons for this idea, as well as, evidence to support it, but I want this to be a discussion for all.
